They fell down, down into what appeared to be a large chute. Taken by surprise, it split into two sections. The two were split, and the two were alone for a while. They were never far, however. The two landed in separate cells, but they could see each other. They landed somewhat safely in a small pile of leaves, breaking their fall and minimizing pain. Steel bars kept them in, and kept them out as well. Both cells were against a wall, bolted down, without bars on the walled side. They were not that large, and it didn't seem like they could break free. In the boy's cell, the lock. In the girl's cell, the key, tied to a wire on the bar closest to the wall. Try as you might, you could not remove the key. The wire and key go slightly past the confines of your cage, nowhere near to the boy's. A torch flickers, illuminating the room slightly. A few more torches line a hallway to what might be your escape. Will it be your escape? Or will it be your death? It's a puzzle, children. What will you do? [/style] |
