You are now the OVERPOWERED KNOW-IT-ALL.
Your name is ALEXANDER SORELE, and you are FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. You live on a VOLCANO out in some DANGER ISLAND. You aren't really sure whether it's Pandora or Australia, the two can be rather similar at times. You take great pride in HAVING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Your friends don't really understand that you just have a really good grasp on the situation, rather than just you smack talking. At least you tell yourself that. You are also a WALKING ENCYCLOPEDIA ON MYTH AND HISTORY. You know the most inane and useless shit at times. You have a PASSION for INVENTING. You're always tinkering and toying around with your things, even managing to create the first known LASERKIND. You have even managed to create a RAIL GUN. You have several friends. Even though you talk trash to them, you CARE FOR THEM DEEPLY, and want to make sure that no one gets themselves hurt in this game, even if they are on other teams. Though your main goal is WINNING THE GAME, as you're curious about the prize. Even if you end up hating them, you'll still look forward to MEETING THEM. You however, are confident in your ability to win this for your team, as you have ONE SECRET SPECIBUS. You have a JOKERKIND, outstripping all your other friends.
You go by zeusAmmon. You make it a point to keep with perfect english, and even if you can tolerate it when people don't use such, you really don't like it. Well, with that introduction out of the way Alex felt that he should probably get back to Lela. If the girl was going to be his server, then they should probably make sure that they were on the same page. Then again, it was Lela. Alex found her to be rather competent, and he would admit, if only to himself, that he was rather glad that he got her on his team. He couldn't help but smile a bit. Yes, despite the way he acted, he could smile. It was better than having Alto, Gwen, or God forbid, the surfer. He could only imagine what would happen with the surfer as a server player. He grimaced a little, silently wishing the best for whoever ended up being that man's client player.
But he supposed that he should get back to Lela. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a simple phone. Pushing it up, he signed onto Pesterchum with it, looking for Lela on the contact list.
-- zeusAmmon [ZA] began pestering uncannyAuxiliatrix [UA] at 04:44 --
ZA: Right, it should be finished. ZA: If you can see me, that would be ideal. ZA: The blonde holding the phone, that should be me. ZA: I apologize if my appearance is not very appealing. ZA: Living on volcano island tends to cause that. ZA: That is the thing to be worried about when using something similar to a webcam, yes?

Your name is LELA WINDSOR.
You have just finished the SERVER installation of SBURB. For the second time in your life you are actually PUMPED about something, that something is you being able to dive into the game you have been EAGERLY AWAITING. During your FIFTEEN YEARS of life you have been kept under lock and key by your GERM CRAZY mother. Because of this you tend to EXPRESS YOURSELF through VIDEO GAMES, the art of PIANO, EXCELLING IN ACADEMICS, and the occasional bout of ROLEPLAY. You once tried to live through your CATS but it DIDN'T WORK TOO WELL. But the four of them still have stuck around even after that bout of failure. You know your way around MYTHOLOGY and LITERATURE like the back of your hand. Your specibus is the rather common CHAINSAWKIND, and you have crudely managed to create a ALPHABETBLOCK MODUS.
You are known as uncannyAuxiliatix. You type rather un-enthusiastically using all lowercase letters, when the rare chance comes along and you become excited or angry you break out the use of caps lock. Which as said before, is usually rare to see. Lela rolled her eyes as she noticed that one of her cats had taken up the space of her keyboard during her little introduction, than promptly pushed the animal out of the way. She promised to sneak him some treats later. But right now she needed to get back to Alex who had presumably booted up his client copy and was ready to get this show on the road. She was rather glad that she had him as her client player, rather than some of the other hooligans that had somehow gotten their hands on the game.
She flips open her phone and glances at the screen. Already Alex had pestered her, the polite thing to do would be to respond, and so she does. -- uncannyAuxiliatrix[UA] replied to zeusAmmon [ZA] at 04:55--
UA: I SEE YOU. ( ゚ ヮ゚) UA: oh whoops. i let my emotions get the best of me. UA: pardon that. UA: and no no, you look fine. UA: the island hasnt affected you as horridly as you might think. haha. UA: yes i suppose that such a thing is to be expected.

Huh, so the island hadn't damaged him that much. While that wasn't really a concern for things, he did find it rather funny that she had said that. Though now that left the question as to what to do now that they had indeed connected. He hadn't really read too much up on this. In fact, he had heard that this was something like the Sims from Lela. Did that mean she would know what to do for this game? Maybe he should just leave it to her. Then again, it would probably be best if she knew his specifications. Well, he figured that seeing as she could see him, it would only be a matter of time before she found out. Not to mention that one of the trolls that could see him already knew.
Plus they needed to get a look at the items catalog. Really, he wasn't in much of a rush to beat the other teams, he was sure that he could do that with little trouble in the first place. But he would like to know his options.
ZA: Oh good. ZA: So this is the game? ZA: Well, I would imagine you know what to do. ZA: You're more up to date on the Sims than me. ZA: But seeing as we're working together, you should know my specifications. ZA: Oh, and do keep this from the other teams please. ZA: I can flash step and micromanage my mind and body. ZA: I also have a Jokerkind as my specibus. ZA: Now that you know that, think you could poke around the items catalog?

Once she was done with her set of replies, she took the opportunity to get up and find the cat treats. It didn't take long to find the colorful package tucked in with her plushies and a rumpled copy of Huckleberry Finn. She cast a withering glance at the book, remembering none to fondly the forced reading of the 'piece of good American literature.' Grabbing the cat treats, she quickly made her way to her desk and parsled out two of them for Eiji. He gratefully accepted them.
Rolling up the bag, she set it aside and glanced at the pester Alex had sent her. Items catalog? Jokerkind? She knew what those were, but couldn't make much sense of the other two. Either way, she wouldn't let out a pip about them to the other teams. She looked at her laptop screen, finding and clicking the items catalog without much difficulty. Various items popped up on the screen. They appeared click able but she had no desire to mess with them until told so.
UA: ok. i promise i wont tell on you. UA: however, i dont really get what you mean by you being able to flash step and micromanage. UA: you dont have to tell me what they are if you dont want to though. UA: i also have the items catalog up. UA: it appears that i will be able to click and drag assorted items.

Oh, she didn't know what those things were? Well, that would be fine. He had no problem explaining things. He never did. In fact he tended to rable on all the time and people would often have to point out that he was rambling just to get him to stop. In this case though, it was probably a good idea for him to ramble just a little bit, if only to explain things in a better manner. It definitely helped that she had promised not to go around spilling every single one of his secrets to the other team.
ZA: The micromanagement. ZA: You know how in the right circumstances, the human body can do incredible things? ZA: I can access those things on a whim. ZA: However, I can't circumvent the cost, so it can hurt me fairly badly. ZA: As for the flash step...
Alexander figured that he would just show her what the flash step was, rather than just go through and explain it. Really, the best he could come up with was 'teleportation by running really goddamn fast.' And he figured that wouldn't really make a suitable explanation, so she could probably figure out the whole thing if he did it just once. And he did. One moment, he was on one side of his room, the next, he was on the other side. It looked like he had just teleported, that he had not even twitched a single muscle.
ZA: That's a flash step. ZA: With that out of the way. ZA: Help yourself, go ahead and give the controls a test run.

She leans forward to get a better look at the screen. Reminding herself to talk to her mother about getting glasses as she does so. For some reason shes been putting them off on the notion that they will make her look bad, but not a soul sees her anyway so it doesn't really matter. That and deep down shes afraid to show the weakness of needing them.
Lela shrugged the thought away, than turned her attention back to the screen. Alex, on one side of the room, quickly transported to the other side. Or what looked to be transported. Either way it was a pretty nifty trick to have up his sleeve. With his little demonstration done, she returned to messing with the controls. Picking up what looked like a chair from the items catalog and dragging/dropping it into Alex's room. It dropped, or moved, and she hoped it didn't hit anything valuable of his. She decided she would put it back later, right now she wanted to explore the other tabs. She clicked through them, deeming the majority boring or useless. But stopped when she came to one labeled Build Grist. The page it was connected to had an assortment of metals and the like, with a few question marks, and next to the names of them numbers. All of them at zero. Her best guess was that Grist was a type of payment, like simoleons would be in the sims. But than again, it could go beyond that.
UA: i can see why you would want to hide such things from the other teams. UA: oh, and i hope that chair didnt crush anything. UA: i also found something interesting, its called build grist. UA: with assorted natural elements acting as a payment of sorts. UA: but im not exactly sure how you are to come by it.

As the chair came crashing down beside him, he quickly turned to face it for a moment, holding a quizzical look on his features. Thankfully, the chair didn't crush anything, but it did spook him for a moment. He really didn't expect to be caught off guard like that. So this allowed her to manipulate his environment? Oh dear, what exactly was he getting into? Well then again, Lela was a smart girl, and she knew what she was doing. So he figured that he could trust her with this sort of thing. After all, what was the worst she could do with that sort of power?
Then again, she had to learn how to play this game somehow, and if that meant having her tweak his environment a bit, then who was he to say no? After all, she might have much better ideas on how to liven the place up than he would. Home building and decorating never really was one of his strong suits. He probably didn't have a good eye for it either. Having actually lived with people, she might have a better idea. So, he figured he could let her have fun.
ZA: You're fine. ZA: Go ahead and mess around with it. ZA: Have to learn somehow.

Lela shrugged as she read Alex's message, placing the phone down and getting back to what she was doing before. Which was essentially remodeling his room, moving around the furniture, placing all the garbled electronics in there respective piles, and attempting to make the room look generally decent. Not like it wasn't decent before of course, just a bit messy. She flicked through the tabs again, but they hadn't changed much, if at all. Her fingers tapped against the control keys and she came to the conclusion that there wasn't much more to mess around with.
She flipped open her phone and messaged Alex. UA: im done. UA: hope you dont mind the room rearrangement. UA: is there anything else im to do.

Oh wow.
He had to admit, he rather liked the refurnishings. It was good that she was getting the hang of this too. He really didn't move much during the whole thing, just let her mess around with everything. He was glad he did too, she was doing a fantastic job. He knew he had picked the right person to be his Server player. He was trying to be nice about the whole thing, though that wasn't really hard. He actually enjoyed Lela's company. She wasn't Gwen, who would just run her mouth, or Cash. God he was so happy he didn't get stuck with Cash. He made a mental note that if he ever met God, this would be the first thing he thanked him for.
Taking a look at his phone, he noticed the new messages. Smiling a bit, he replied back to her.
ZA: Oh no, I actually really like it. ZA: Seriously, don't mind me. ZA: If you want, you're welcome to mess around. ZA: It really doesn't bother me. ZA: So do whatever.

She smiled at the received messages. So he actually liked her remodeling? Perhaps that could go down on her career list, she made a mental not to do such later. She turned back to her screen, noticing something called a Cruxtruder in the registry. It looked like a big blocky with some weird extensions. Apparently you could get something Cruxite Dowels from it. She clicked and dragged it into a corner of his room, making sure not to block anything important as she did so. She frowned as she noticed that she couldn't move it even if she wanted to, due to the fact that she needed more build grist to do so. Lela was starting to think that this thing was more trouble than it was worth. UA: hm. UA: i dropped a thing called a cruxtruder in your room. UA: i think its important. since you need to have a lot of move it. UA: its supposed to give you something called cruxite dowels.

He watched with curiosity as he saw the mahine floating around his room, ready to be put down somewhere. That was pretty cool. He wondered what it would do. Then the Cruxtruder landed on his floor with an exceptionally loud thud. The house shook, and Alex himself jumped at the impact. Great, this would probably rile up any cryptid wildlife around his house. That would get them moving too. He spazzed for a moment, his fingers unintentionally mashing the buttons on his phone, sending what would probably be a rather strange message to Lela.
After regaining control of his senses, he took a good look at the thing that sat just a little bit away from him. Walking over, he examined the thing, even kicking it a light kick to see if it would do anything. The kick wasn't too harsh though.
ZA: Huh. ZA: Any idea on how to get it working?

ADWADSADSAFHDA? What the hell did that mean?
She glared at the message, trying to determine if it was a code of sorts. Or perhaps it was just one of those key-smash thingys? She determined that it was the latter, it had to be. With that done she looked at his last message, and starting to search for anything concerning the Cruxtruder. The same things showed up as before. UA: nothing else is showing up. UA: you should probably just poke it. UA: maybe something will happen then.

So nothing had changed? Well, he wanted to say that they were just getting used to things and that it would take time for things to speed up. But he was also starting to wonder if there was anything to this game really. At least for the most part, it was kind of like the Sims. Except he was glad that he could still retain control over himself. He would hate for his Server player to tell him to get into a pool then remove the latter. Or wall him in and wait for him to starve. Or have a satellite fall on him from out of nowhere.
Now that he thought about it, the Sims could be a really, really cruel game. Suddenly his heart was filled with sympathy for those poor, virtual souls.
ZA: Sure. ZA: I'll just keep kicking.
And that was what he did. He took a good look at the cruxtruder, and started kicking it constantly and consistently in a pattern. Maybe it would react if he did this enough. He wondered just what the thing could even do.

Kick it? She shrugged as she watched Alex go over and start kicking the crap out of it. Whatever worked to get the things gears moving. While Alex was beating up the Cruxtruder, she tried looking for more information on the machine, coming up with the same. But as she squinted at the screen, she noticed a small warning: DO NOT PLACE IN FRONT OF DOORWAYS/ENTRANCES.
She rolled her eyes at the message. No shit sherlock. With that the only extra thing she was able to find on the subject, she went back to pestering Alex. UA: thats effective. UA: has it beeped in protest or any other such thing yet.

Really, his answer was no. Nothing had happened despite his best kicking. So he continued to kick it. Eventually, something did happen. The top came out, some strange... red... thing came out and fell onto the floor What the hell was that. It was a red cylinder. That was weird. That was really weird. But, he supposed it was progress. He picked up the red cylinder, taking a good look at the thing. He looked back to his phone, seeing the question that Lela had posed him.
ZA: I guess. ZA: The hell is this thing?
Looking back up, he noticed a strange, flashing ball. What was that. What. That is so weird, what is it and what is it doing here? Ugh, it seemed so freaky in its own way He expected that hopefully Lela would have some sort of answer to this. After all, she was her server player, right? Surely there had to be something in the manual, or some online guide, or something.
ZA: I. ZA: What. ZA: What is this.
