==>; MK: Retrieve Game
YOU HAVE ALREADY RETRIEVED THE GAME. NOW YOU ARE ALREADY GETTING READY TO HAND IT TO PAGE. Bear got what he needed. He had gone outside to the mailbox after the mailman arrived, for he had been waiting impatiently for the beta to arrive. He rushed outside as soon as it was here and immediately dug inside the mailbox. It had to be here, he knew he saw it, oh this was perfect. He had read all about this game, and it sounded really, really fun. From what he had heard, it was like the Sims. While that sounded incredible, it also worried him; could people be abused like Sims could be abused? Not like it mattered, he would never let something like that happen to his dearest daughter.
So after retrieving the discs, he gave a hearty laugh, attracting the attention of a neighbor, who he waved emphatically to. They waved back. With that out of the way, he rushed back inside, and ran up the stairs, his stature making the rush extremely noisy, no doubt giving away his presence to Page. He figured she'd be in the guest room talking to her friends. He sort of wondered who she would talk to anyway.
Still, he knocked on the guest room door to see if she was there.
BEAR: PAGE. BEAR: THEY'RE HERE. BEAR: THE DISCS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED. BEAR: HOW ABOUT WE GET THEM INSTALLED?

==> PE: Hear noise, freak out.
Normally you would do exactly that, except that the noise in question is obviously your DAD whom is always making a RUCKUS of some sort. Specifically the kind of RUCKUS he makes when he is RUSHING UP THE STAIRS WITH WILD ABANDON, which sounds an awful lot like a STAMPEDING HERD OF ELEPHANTS. You, of course, are quite used to this sound having heard it most of your life. In fact, you are quite used to most of the RIDICULOUSLY NOISY things your dad does. In truth you find his random noises to be EXTREMELY COMFORTING and FAMILIAR and would find it weird if he were to ever try to be quiet. Sitting at the small desk on which her laptop rested Page continued to type away, conversing with one of her friends over Pesterchum. In the background could be heard the soft whir and click of clockwork machinery at work, and the slight chuffing noise of one of her steam powered contraptions doing whatever it was it was doing through the wall that separated Page's actual bedroom from the guest room. Anyone else might have found the noise annoying, but Page found the sounds to be soothing. Familiarity was something Page delighted in, and the sounds of her many mechanical contraptions were about as familiar as anything she knew.
Page had just finished her conversation when she heard the tell-tale sound of her Dad coming up the stairway. It wasn't exactly a hard sound to miss. Her dad was just a loud person all around. He spoke loudly, laughed loudly, moved loudly, snored loudly. If she wasn't so used to him, Page might have found all his excessive noise to be intimidating. Other people certainly did, at least at first, which had always struck her as slightly funny. She knew she was a nervous worrywort who was freaked out by everything, except the one person who should probably worry her the most.
Hearing his knock on the door, Page slipped out of her chair to open it, and came face to midriff with her Dad who stood towering in the doorway.
PAGE: H-hey D-d-dad... PAGE: O-oh! The Sburb d-d-d-discs? PAGE: ...T-that's g-good. PAGE: M-m-most of m-m-my f-friends a-a-already have t-their copies and were w-w-wondering when I w-w-would g-get m-m-mine. PAGE: ...Um...W-which d-disc d-d-do you t-think I s-should install f-f-first?

==> MK: Choose discs
THAT SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM. YOU ONLY NEED TO LEARN WHAT PAGE IS GOING TO BE STARTING AS FIRST? Bear listened to her question for a moment, stroking his AMAZING BEARD in thought for a moment. Yes. that was a predicament. He supposed that it would all depend what Page would be going with. Did she have a Server player assigned? Or was she going to be getting the first player in the game? A low, curious growl rumbled in his throat as he contemplated this predicament. He took a look at the two packages that contained the discs. Finally, a grin appeared, and a fire, which was always in his eyes anyway, started to burn even brighter. Sometimes one would have to wonder how Bear and Page were even related.
He laughed loud, his hand coming down on Page's shoulder. It was meant to be a gentle pat, one that would be reassuring. But thanks to his ENCHANTINGLY LARGE MUSCLES, it probably came down as something a lot harder. Really, one had to fear his strength. Especially when he gave hugs. Genuine bear hugs. His hugs were so STRONG that if he didn't have a BLADEKIND, his specibus would probably be a HUGKIND specibus.
BEAR: THAT DEPENDS ON ONE SMALL DETAIL. BEAR: WE NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU'RE PLAYING AS. BEAR: DO YOU HAVE A COMPANION OF YOURS PLANNED AS A SERVER PLAYER TO GUIDE YOU? BEAR: AND HOW FAR INTO THE BETA ARE THEY?

==> PE: Try not to die.
Wait, what? While her dad stood there pondering, Page waited nervously, hands clasped before her as she twiddled her thumbs out of habit. For a long time he was quiet except for the sound of his fingers rubbing against his beard, then he laughed, his eyes lit up with that spark she knew so well. It seems her dad had come to some sort of decision.
Were she anyone else's child such a pat on the shoulder might have proved hazardous. Fatal even. Years of conditioning, and by condition she meant enduring countless such pats, had made Page resilient to most of the boundless energy her father unwittingly put into all of his actions. That didn't stop her knees from buckling under the weight of his hand and cause her to stagger however. It did make it so that she recovered from it quickly, though.
At least he had tried to hug her. His hugs could be lethal. Well, lethal to everyone else anyways. Page was pretty much used to them. How she didn't end up as some sort of paste smeared on his arms when he did hug her was a mystery.
PAGE: ...Um... PAGE: V-venn asked me to b-b-b-be his server p-player... PAGE: ...But I t-t-think Alex and L-lela w-want us to h-hold off on j-joining until they c-c-can see h-how t-things g-go f-f-for Alex... PAGE: And A-alex said he w-w-would be m-my server p-p-player... PAGE: ...W-which is p-p-probably a g-good t-thing s-s-s-since he's the o-only one on our t-team who h-has started the game s-s-so far...

==> MK: Install Client Disc
YES, THAT SHALL BE YOUR PATH. So that was the situation. Page wouldn't be the first one to go in, but Alex would be. Bear knew about Alex. Well, he knew about a lot of Page's friends really, but mostly Venn and Alex. What he'd never tell Page was that whenever she left her laptop on and alone, he would do a little snooping here and there. He'd always make sure to leave before she got back though. He didn't want her to actually catch him rooting around on her computer, uncovering any EMBARRASSING SECRETS that she had on there. Did she even have any secrets? Those secrets wouldn't matter when your daughter is angry at you for going through her Pesterlog history. Parents didn't need to limit their kids computer time. Parents just needed to learn how to use computers.
But he knew about her friends. Venn was a kid obsessed with dinosaurs who seemed to live alone for the most part. Bear liked Venn. He thought he was a fine young man and that his guardian should be proud for having raised him. Even if his dream was a bit weird, Venn chased it with a type of fervor he loved to see, so he couldn't help but empathize with the kid, reminded him of himself when he was younger. Maybe someday he could try and get Venn over here. Alex however, seemed a bit distant at times, but he was was a gadgeteer, so that won some points. Not to mention Bear could tell he was so obviously crushing on his daughter. He wasn't sure how Page didn't notice.
But enough of that. Bear looked at the discs, pulling out the client disc. He took a couple THUNDERING STEPS into the guest room. He needed to get some better ventilation in her room. Maybe then she could stay in there more often. He reached out, ready to TAKE THE LAPTOP into his VICEGRIP OF FATHERHOOD.
BEAR: IF ALEX IS GOING IN FIRST AND HE IS YOUR SERVER. BEAR: THAT WOULD MEAN YOU ARE GOING IN AFTER HE HAS ENTERED. BEAR: SO YOU SHALL BE THE SECOND PLAYER TO ENTER. BEAR: THE CLIENT DISC SHALL BE THE OBJECT OF OUR FIRST INSTALLATION.
