She's not intentionally cruel, but her natural inclination towards introversion leaves her mildly aggressive and more than a little bitchy. She is naturally nervous and exceedingly jumpy, which are traits that have only worsened throughout her experiences in SGrub and in the Veil. Having to fight for survival on Alternia was bad enough for the poor girl -- fighting a seemingly pointless war for a bunch of chess pieces just to get some lame-ass prize that her session didn't even get to claim was just too much. Not to mention that she had to deal with PEOPLE and it was just ugh. She's unsure of herself, particularly when it comes to the quadrants, but she covers it up with a scowl and fierce words -- her constant fear of culling has yet to fade, and weakness is not permitted. Believe it or not, though, she does care about her fellow players. She goes shows that affection in a rather backhanded way. ❧ Anguis, when left to her own devices, is fairly even-tempered -- she's pretty average, as is expected of a green blood. Her middling status in troll society did nothing to quell her wild imagination in regards to culling, however; she was forever convinced that she was simply not good enough, not special enough, to warrant living, and her neurotic tendencies cause her to fly off the handle at times. Her lusus, a large and inactive scalebeast (snake), required little attention and gave little attention, thus really no help at all. Snakedad was a lazy thing, sleeping when he wasn't hunting and only hunting every so often. ❧ ANCESTOR -- Anguis's ancestor was called only the GATHERER, and was what we would delicately name an 'information gatherer'. In not so pleasant terms, the Gatherer was a torturer, and an excellent one at that. She specialized in seduction, intimidation, and psychological trauma. Her alliance was ambiguous, as she worked for whoever needed her -- but one troll who could always depend on her was the ANOINTED, who was the Gatherer's matesprit. The Anointed was the Gatherer's only consistent quadrant; she flitted from troll to troll for her kismeses, and she never bothered with the pale nor ashen quadrants. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ Anguis grew up in a hive tucked into the recesses of a vast and sparsely populated forest, the sky perpetually hidden by thick foliage and the only available prey being cold-blooded creatures, mostly legged scalebeasts and other reptiles. Her only connection to anything living other than snakedad and her small army of battlesnakes was through her husktop, which she was exceedingly nervous using at first. She got over it, eventually, and even managed to talk to other trolls from time to time. Considering all the trouble it got her into with SGrub, she sometimes regrets ever learning to use the damn thing. ❧ Her hive is decorated with snakeskins of various colors and and excessive amount of tools used for weapons maintenance. Not that she actually fights with any normal weapons. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] ❧ Anguis types in a consistently correct manner, with capitals at the beginning of her sentences and for proper nouns, and so forth. She doesn't use any punctuation other than periods or question marks, and instead of using commas she'll split her sentence up into many little sentences sent through several messages, all ending in periods or question marks. Her text is green, like her blood, and she doubles her s's to make a hissing sound, which also Sslurss her wordss together ssometimess. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]symbol[/style] ❧ Anguis's symbol is a triad of black snakes outlined in bright green, all three intertwined by their tails. It looks like this. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]fetch modus[/style] ❧ Anguis possesses to Touch Modus, which requires that she touch a series of pressure points on her warm, seemingly breathing sylladex to retrieve an object. She doesn't retrieve much and thinks that this is a stupid and silly Modus, but refuses to discard or trade it for whatever reason. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] ❧ Anguis, for whatever reason, has an innate connection with snakes and can speak to and command them, which is why she has them as her strife specibus. ❧ She has a gift for blending in with her surroundings, and she is very good at hiding things and even people. These are side effects of being the Sylph of Void. ❧ Due to medical prowess that she developed in-game, Anguis has a good understanding of troll health and anatomy, and on the meteor she's been trying to understand human health and anatomy as well. ❧ PARANOIDPROTECTION. This SPIFFY fraymotif allows Anguis to block things, people, and even entire GAME SESSIONS from external viewing -- if she blocks it, it can't be found through any nonphysical means. (it's basically like Roxy's screen blackouting and E%ecutor Darkleer's cue ball shenanigans.) ❧ HEALINGDARK. This SPIFFIER fraymotif is the first of Anguis's abilities that combines the healing nature of the Sylph class with the concealing nature of the Void aspect. This allows Anguis to completely wipe any single memory from a person's mind -- it simply ceases to exist for them. To PC characters, OOC permission is required. This can only be used to wipe memories that harm a person's psyche -- in her opinion. ❧ THE MEDIC. A SPIFFIER fraymotif. As the session's Sylph, Anguis was the designated healer. She can heal any wound that isn't irreversibly mortal -- it saps a good amount of her own energy, however. The more dire the wound, the more strength it takes of her. Because of the fraymotif's draining nature, however, Anguis cannot heal herself -- she would likely die with the attempt. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ The Land of Sand and Rain is a sweltering hot desert-like area that is continuously plagued by a downfall of thick, warm rain. Nyx decided to be a huge bitch and unleash an endless darkness on the world as well, which killed off what little plant life there was left, and the howlbeasts -- LOSAR's Consorts -- are slowly starving to death due to the lack of prey. As a result, they enjoy attacking Anguis, her snakes, her visitors, and each other. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]sidequest[/style] ❧ As a Hero of Void, Anguis is meant to keep her fellow trolls concealed in the Veil and destroy any knowledge that may upset their chances of remaining hidden forever, which runs counter to the healing she's supposed to do to her race as the session's Sylph.
