Having met nobody but a single other troll, his friend Vedant, he ended up living a life of solitude with his lusus. The draconic creature was rather proud and tended to be greedy so most of the time Baltyr was forced to find his own food, as his lusus could care for itself. His relationship consisted of picking para-grubs from its back and listening to its thoughts, learning how to experience the world threefold. Baltyr can sense the world in sight, taste, and smell, much like others who learn to live with dragon lusii. Vedant was not so lucky- seeing as the troll had a spirit lusii, his ethereal lusus had no amazing supersenses, and thus his friend always asked him what the world looked like through his nose. To be honest, not much different than it did normally, other than some severe blurring. Sburb was picked up as he talked with the other trolls online. At first he thought that it was a stupid idea- they had bigger things to worry about. But as his friends began playing, he had a feeling that this was far superior to their FLARPing, which was his original expectation. Curiosity pulled him closer to the mysterious game. ~~ Personality-wise, Baltyr tends to be apathetic. He doesn’t really instigate any form of emotions with the other trolls and tends to enjoy being a mediator between them all- note, he doesn’t auspistice, he mediates. He is the arbiter that takes the reigns during strife, as any wise man would. He oftentimes thinks of the other trolls as insecure and immature, and hates associating with the frequent quadrant disputes that seems to happen with them. Thus, one could call Baltyr uncaring and a little distant, while they would never realize he’s actually quite caring, he just doesn’t open up to them. His care consists of emotional support when he does open to another and tends to be an excellent moirail for those who find themselves in constant duress. When it comes to making enemies, Baltyr tends to be a target for Kismesissitudes simply for the fact that he is easy to hate. With his uncaring nature and disrespectful tone one could easily associate him with blackrom, but whether this is even a goal for Baltyr is unknown to this point. THE DARKENED Baltyr's ancestor. The one known as The Darkened was a troll of higher blood who had a silver tongue and a quick wit. During a time when the hemospectrum reigned he found himself loathing the segregation that clouded the vision of the higher bloods, but not many knew of his beliefs in the LODESTAR's teachings- thus, he worked from the shadows of his slight aristocracy to assist the Lodestar in her quest. It is believes that he was secretly the Matesprit of the legend and in the end, he was the one who took her life to activate the beacons that would relay her preachings across Alternia. This would forever haunt him, creating a being of darkness and hatred of the race, and himself- he would eventually become known simple as The Darkened. After the LODESTAR's death the DARKENED would find himself hunted by her assigned executioner, the JUSTICAR. Originally uncaring of the enraged lawman, he would evade capture simply out of irritation, yet as time continued their relationship would flourish into an unsavory, bitter hatred. The JUSTICAR would inevitably put him to trial, but the DARKENED had prepared for this and used his silver tongue to deflect the trial back in the JUSTICAR's field. The trial was won, but the Darkened foresaw the end of their rivalry in a different way. As the JUSTICAR was sealed inside of his tomb the DARKENED returned to a place he once considered his sanctuary. Inside would be his ticket to the afterlife and he would smile for the first time since his matesprit's death as he and his kismesis died together. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ Baltyr arose from the ground with his lusus in a beautiful verdant forest, its pale shades of blues and greens drawing them closer. Their hive was built between trees, a large treehouse of multiple stories with hanging bridges in between. The two lived very close with nature as many of the wild animals that couldn’t stand the sun came to rest underneath their home, and they took that as a sign of game. Baltyr’s room is a basic room, although the normal sleeping pod, filled with sopor slime, has been replaced with a gelatinous pad that secretes the slime in an aroma- Baltyr hates the messiness associated with the slime and would rather keep his room clean. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] ❧ His erratic nature in text shows his lack of interest in holding onto certain aspects. His grammar is generally correct, but oftentimes punctuation will be skipped altogether. His quirks consist of his B’s and O’s being stressed, and his color is a dark blue- the color of his blood. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]symbol[/style] ❧ His symbol is present in most fanpictures I have created, so simply checking those will show that it is an empty pyramid with a sphere hanging overhead. The meaning behind this symbol is unknown- Baltyr hardly even notices it anymore. Was it supposed to be important? Baltyr [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]fetch modus[/style] ❧ The Fetch Modus is a Heart Modus. Depending on mood, the modus will be easier or harder to sync with. In times where Baltyr is feeling negative, he will find that he can hardly pull anything from his modus, in even the most meta sense. Yet in times when he is in control, he finds it easy to simply summon the items into existence. Metaaaa~ [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] ❧ To start off, Baltyr has many passive natural abilities from growing up with his lusus. Sight threefold (sight, smell, taste, from his dragon lusus), Combat (including small/medium/large blades), Marksmanship (including pistols and revolvers), And Agility (lives in the trees. XD) FRAYMOTIFS: MELANCHOLY INTERLUDE [spiffy attack] This action focuses on specifically stopping the fight, if only for a short while. As Knight of Heart, Baltyr uses his emotions as both a shield and sword, and in this case creates an aura shield around Baltyr, allowing him to remove himself from combat and recuperate. This shield specifically burns with whatever type of emotion the user is feeling, meaning that it will not hold back enemies but potentially damage them enough to discourage action. SILENT SONATA [spiffier attack] This action allows Baltyr to use his aura invisibly. While he is using it the aura is clearly visible, an aurora around him. Silent Sonata simply makes this aura transparent, although his body motions and general emotion if read correctly will still give tell on his attacks since the aura follows his arms as a sword/shield would. DESPAIR'S DISSONANCE [combo attack, AethalxBaltyr][Locked] DESPONDENT SYMPHONY [endgame nuke][Locked] FERVOR'S FINAL FUGUE [combo endgame nuke, AethalxBaltyr][Locked] [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ The Land of Bamboo and Ambiance was once a planet of dark skies and dull green forests, lit up only by the faint light of Skaia. Fountains of water and peaceful rivers are breeding ground for pyreflies, which the neon salamander denizens feed on. But lately, the rivers have turned a darker shade- while pyreflies still roam the horizons, the imps that have found their way on LOBAA have been feeding on them as well, leaving eh salamanders a little on edge. Will the pyreflies last, or will the imps of Derse eventually consume them all? The Denizen is a dark creature covered in oils who is corrupting the rivers where the pyreflies breed. While it is not hurting the breeding process, at times this oil can make them taste horrible, or even make salamanders sick. Under this dark, slimy, slithery Denizen’s influence, the planet is slowly darkening and the salamanders fear what resides in the forests of bamboo that coat their world. His powers pull him towards an unknown force, a raw emotion that he cannot see. When he stares into the horizon he can feel the Heart pulling his gaze in that direction. It is the deepest curiosity and greatest fear that both pull and push him from traveling in that direction. What is his heart trying to tell him? What is so urgent that he can’t stop feeling the strings pulling him?
