For a long time she was able to deal with it as she went spelunking in the cave connected to her hive with her lusus, a head-sized vampire bat-like creature (except with an extra set of front limbs along with wings) fondly named Mr. Sipper. After tripping and cutting herself good on a rock in the cave once, Razori realized it was a good outlet to relieve the sense of impending doom she constantly felt. She preferred a physical, rational negative feeling over some vague, disconnected one. After noticing a frequency in her intentional cutting thereafter, Mr. Sipper often warns her against it. When he isn't hungry, at least. She often feeds him her blood when the goatbeasts she tends for him wander off. ❧Between waking up late at night and going to sleep early due to her strong sensitivity to light, aside from spelunking, Raz also spends her time practicing knife throwing, sharpening any objects she can find (including her daggers, furniture, horns, nails, and teeth), reading poetry, and yes, cutting. She'll occasionally message friends on trollian when she's bored and they haven't messaged her first, but that's usually a last resort. ❧Razori's ancestor was known as DARKSEER. She was forced into the Condesce's slavery while fairly young, used as a mapping device with her echolocation to detect faraway planets and such. Her voice needed to be powerful enough for it to bounce back and not disperse enough where she couldn't hear the echo, and because of this her ability developed into a destructive SONIC SCREAM, which she used to escape from her enslavement. After a while she became a renegade warrior, wielding a large sword as a weapon, and was a thorn in the Condesce's side until her eventual recapture and execution. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ Razori's hive is built into the opening of a vast cave in the middle of a shadowy forest. The small number of windows present are all fairly small, tinted, and draped to allow as little light in as possible during the day and all lights inside are set to VERY DIM at night, if they're on at all. Razori's room is situated in the middle of her hive so no windows are present. One wall is completely covered in cutting instruments, ranging from small razors to swords, though her largest collection is of daggers. Of course she usually keeps this wall covered with a drape to avoid thinking about opening a vein all the time. Her floor is fairly clean aside from one corner containing a few stacks of miscellaneous books, some crumpled up papers of failed attempts at writing her own poetry, and a pile of bloodied towels she hasn't gotten around to cleaning yet. The rest of her walls are covered in dark-themed posters, mainly pictures of night-time architecture, anatomy posters, and random ones with poems on them. Her computer, a Husktop with screen brightness toned down, sits at one wall, with her portable Nighteyeshades (basically super shaded sunglasses) sitting not far away [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] ❧ SS: I'm always calm. Being excited is stupid and fogs your mind. Exclamation points are unnecessary. SS: People say I can be really blunt. I ask them why they waste time with extra words. SS: I don't understand why everyone is a lazy ass with their grammar and spelling. Trust me, it's not that hard. SS: Same goes with capitalization. SS: Except everyone thinks I'm spazzing or something when I refer to anything SHARP, or POINTY, or anything that has to do with MAIMING... Do I? SS: Apparently I don't have a sense of humor and am unfeeling. SS: Not that I care, but doesn't saying "heh" show that I'm amused? [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]symbol[/style] ❧ The letter C from the daggers alphabet: a downwards-facing dagger. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]fetch modus[/style] ❧ SACRIFICE: Requires the user to say an item's name, then be given blood in order to retrieve it. Larger or complex items require more blood to be unlocked than smaller or simple items. Of course the modus itself needs to be kept clean in order to work. Too much old, dried blood caked on the retrieval mechanism causes it to be unresponsive. The color of her cards is olive, respectively. ❧BLOOD DEBT: a faster option to retrieve items with the SACRIFICE modus. All that must be done is to say the needed item's name and it can be retrieved, but the required amount of blood that it usually takes to retrieve it is added to a debt that must eventually be repaid at a later time. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] ❧ KNIFE COMBAT: Because of her almost-obsession with daggers, Razori picked up multiple fighting skills with knives. She can quickly draw a blade and stab someone in close-quarters and has a dead-on aim with throwing them. ❧ ENHANCED NIGHT VISION: A naturally nocturnal species combined with a bit larger than normal eyes allows Razori extra strong night vision. She's extremely sensitive to light, however, and never goes outside during the day or uses bright screens, lights, etc. without her Nighteyetops on. ❧ ECHOLOCATION: An ability she learned from her lusus, Razori usually uses echolocation while traversing areas with complete darkness (or when it's too bright for her to see) ❧ SENSE OF FORBODING: Not exactly a skill or even particularly useful throughout her life since it lead to her cutting, Razori always has a vague sense of foreboding about something, though she has no clue what (later she'll come to believe/realize it's because their session is doomed and (maybe?) that some of their players will die) [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ The Land of Beams and Tunnels is home to silver rat-like consorts who seem only intelligent enough to say simplistic sentences. While they usually just spurt out what they're doing while staring blankly as they do it, they can provide vague information if they're asked for it. ❧LOBAT is made up of a long, interconnecting maze of tunnels, three levels high--some will occasionally dead end while others open up to the outside from any direction (meaning watch your step if you're on a higher level). The outside of the tunnels are barren and while it's possible to go outside, you wouldn't get anything done. The lowest level tunnels have a few inches of water flowing through them, and while Razori's house lands on the highest level, she must descend to the lowest one to reach Photious. Speaking of the havoc he reaps, the consorts are disturbed by the bright beams of light shooting through the tunnels, which are bent by turnable mirrors at turns in order to continue them onward in their paths. The consorts are used to darkness, and are slowly being blinded by the light. ❧ The beams are made by LOBAT's denizen, Photious, a huge beast made of pure light that lives in the large cave that the tunnels eventually lead to. In order for the consorts to be spared of blindness, Razori can either turn the mirrors or kill Photious. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]sidequest[/style] ❧ Since Razori is sensitive to light, she will find it very hard to get close enough to Photious in order to kill him. Instead she will find it easier to turn the mirrors and hear what he has to say. He warns her that the trolls' session is doomed to failure. This gives Razori a rational reason for why she's always felt the vague sense of foreboding and she doesn't feel the need to cut to give herself a plausible negative feeling.
