==>: PP: Attempt to remain conscious.
g0d damnit The blue-blooded troll closed his eyes, his skin pale as he lay on the gray floor in a place he didn't consider home. He had never made a hive in the meteor. His 'hive' consisted of a poorly-constructed mattress created from alchemized clothing parts and the metal constructs of the Veil itself. The troll's eyes were even darker than usual, the rings around them more pronounced.
The floor around him was covered in paper. Writing. All of them had neat, fine lines of writing with a simple, clean handwriting. Poems. Stories. Adventures.
Baltyr lay amidst the world he'd never had, the worlds he'd never seen, the ones he had written himself, tired as hell. He'd spent years with the dreams that his heart had shared with him, yearning for that bit of freedom. No responsibilities, no moirail to take care of, no creatures to hunt, no dragon to feed. And all of it was gone now. He was once again stuck without a purpose, this time without even the simplest of things- color. His nose couldn't pick up anything but dull gray. He frowned as his fingers ran amongst the papers, the fine blue ink smearing ever so slightly at his touch.
Fuck all of this. These humans were borderline mentally impaired. How Baltyr had expected he'd ever get the information he needed from them was ridiculous. The idea that he would find a way to break out of this damn meteor was even moreso ridiculous. Jack was out there waiting for them.
He sighed. He could never go crazy, he was too tired to- but his heart was right now. Sgrub offered new worlds to explore. Challenges. A game in which your life was on the line, rules by Skaia, a being without a mind in which to pull the strings. But the humans took it away and now they can't get it back. Or was it the trolls' fault? It was all too confusing. The chill of the meteor was getting to the blue-blood and he began to shiver.
What now?

======> SA: Pester PP.
The dreams and memories and thoughts have been cropping up again. All blurring and metamorphing into one mass in his attempt to understand express them outside of his mind. Never in parts. It had to be all at once or else the parts remaining would only stay and grow again. Inspiring the violent bloodlust that is normal for all trolls. Instead of cutting himself off into his respiteblock for more than a week again, Adonis decides to seek out the resident Knight, one of the few Adonis felt he could count on during their session. Here, though, Adonis sensed something different about him - as far as he could tell, anyway.
This would be the first time Adonis would actively seek out Baltyr since then end of their session. Before coming here, Adonis searched for Baltyr in the other parts the trolls usually occupy, the computer lab and other popular spots, even doing some idle wandering through the corridors just in case. Like with Caeger, Adonis hesitated in front of the transportalizer pad leading to Baltyr's respite block, but this was different. He didn't have anything to offer the blue-blood besides company. Not the usual incense like he gave everybody this time. There wasn't the same fear he had with Caeger, either, but a different sort that he couldn't quite place. He knew it was apprehension, however.
Finally, Adonis took a deep breath and smoothed over his clothes, a plain white dress that he deliberately chose after a long time of deliberation and a pair of plain sandals, then stepped onto the pad. He stood there silently, biting his lip and tangling his fingers, listening intently. He didn't call out like he should have, only listening and looking for signs of occupation.

==>: PP: Welcome guests.
At least it wasn't one of the idiot trolls. Baltyr opened his eyes slightly. The Knight of Heart knew that someone was nearby. Nothing could be told from a Heart other than its general feelings- he couldn't tell whose Heart it was. But at the moment he could feel the flickering of maybe... Fear? He had no idea. But at the moment he could care less. Oh wait- that was just him in general right? He'd always made it a point to show how much he just plain didn't care. The reasons were beyond him. Maybe it was to distance himself from the other trolls. But he knew that he was Heart. It went against his very Aspect to just plain not give a shit.
Didn't stop him. What now, Skaia?
His nose quivered slightly. Adonis. The familiar smell of incense and that odd blood color. He shot a glance at Ad's figure as the pages sprawled around him.
BALTYR: y0u kn0w i was really h0ping we c0uld make it BALTYR: that fr0g and shit y0u kn0w? BALTYR: a wh0le new universe t0 expl0re BALTYR: fucking rule it like g0ds BALTYR: except i wanted t0 ße a part 0f it BALTYR: like- i dunn0 ßuild castles with the peasants and have sw0rd-fighting t0urnaments BALTYR: get g0d tier and ße a t0tal fucking ß0ss BALTYR: ßut i d0nt even rememßer derse all that well BALTYR: just the fucking static fr0m the giant hearts... BALTYR: 0f the h0rr0rterr0rs
He sighed, closing his eyes again.
It wasn't hesitated but it wasn't ordered either. It was simply Baltyr. Not expectant by any means, but he wasn't afraid to say what he wanted. And right now it was somebody lying on this stack of papers with him, warming his ass up. Another shiver ran through his body.
He always hated Alternia. Or rather, he didn't know he hated it so much until he found the humans. Despite his hatred for them, he was jealous. Their lives were so interesting. Or rather, what used to be their lives. They had a world that had only just developed, only the beginning of a technological era that would send them into space and the universe beyond. Things were simpler and easier for them. Their race just killed each other for fun in advanced role-playing. No real reason to exist other than to kill. They were nothing more than animals. Call it Baltyr's pride but he honestly thought...
That he wouldn't sink so low as to say 'culling' with any seriousness.

======>
Adonis jerked when Baltyr began to speak. He listened intently, he untangled his hands to tangle them behind his back. He smiled, wouldn't mind ruling over his own castle and having sword-fighting tournaments himself, though all he'd really want is earth to garden in again. Grow all sorts of plants and flowers. He would allow his castle to become overgrown, watering the plants in the cracks of the stone itself. He frowned at the mention of horrorterrors. Adonis would never trust horrorterrors, thankful that he had awakened on Prospit instead, with its bright, lively kingdom. He enjoyed the evenings spent there, visiting with the king and queen and sipping tea. When first learning of the horrorterrors, however, Adonis found himself distrusting the Derse dreamers for a short time. He quickly got over it, of course.
He just stood there for a long moment at Baltyr's request, not sure what to do. Baltyr never too far away from Adonis' mind, what he didn't realize was that his fear was that of rejection, being so inexperienced with quadrants. Soon motivated by feelings he didn't quite understand, he dutifully shuffled over to Baltyr and slipped under his arm, the jade-blooded troll lying on his side. He rested his head on Baltyr's shoulder, and hesitantly reached an arm across his chest. He smiled up at the blueblood nervously before mumbling his own thoughts.
ADONIS: I ADONIS: I guess. ADONIS: I never really thought of it. ADONIS: All I really want is a home. ADONIS: S-Somewhere to garden again. ADONIS: I tried to make one here, but it's too much spacey, too much rock and metal. ADONIS: I never really cared much for war and stuff ADONIS: But I think I'd rather leave that stuff behind on my world, I think.
Adonis pressed himself to Baltyr a little more at his shiver, starting to relax at the familiar scent of ink. He'd been meaning to ask for another hug from Baltyr yesterday was so shitty it required multiple hugs. His arm's just fine now, anyway.

==>: PP: Relax.
Warm up a little. He slowly became warmer and his heart awoke. The trolls' systems were similar to the humans, but for their own, special reasons. Think of the humans as the evolution of a troll in a universal sense. They seemed to have gained the trolls' strengths whilst dropping their weaknesses. Even their version of the quadrants were easier to fill... Not to mention easier to make use of. Baltyr had never considered the quadrants important, but with talking to the trolls more and more he felt as though he should watch over them. The ones like Caegar, who had no chance to survive in a world that required restraint or teamwork. He felt Adonis' arm cross over his chest and the troll's aura immediately began to warm him. The Knight of Heart opened his eyes.
BALTYR: y0 im kinda glad alternias g0ne BALTYR: i mean hell yeah i enj0yed my lusus BALTYR: and making my burstblade BALTYR: but it was really b0ring BALTYR: the same f0rest every day with s0me b0ring scale BALTYR: in the middle 0f n0where
He pushed his pen away, his mind still burdened by the worlds within. He looked back to his friend.

======> SA: Do something stupid.
He had shut his eyes as he relaxed against Baltyr, finding that lying like this was far better than just hugs. As the Knight opened his eyes, the Page closed his, fingers grasping to the fabric of Baltyr's shirt tightly. He listened and nodded in agreement, feeling more comfortable when Baltyr doesn't protest.
ADONIS: I guess it was long since time our race got a restart. ADONIS: It's only for so long until an idea is so thoroughly worn out, like our culture. ADONIS: Despite it all, while we were made strong enough to conquer other races and civilizations, ADONIS: Maybe we've been doing something wrong this whole time, you know? ADONIS: We can use this opportunity to try something different. ADONIS: Personally, I'm quite sick of having rulers that live for millennia.
Adonis has never really trusted seadwellers. Their own two resident highbloods were of no exception despite what they've all gone through, more wary of them than even Caeger. As for Baltyr's question, Adonis could only give a small shrug. Before making up his mind, Adonis leaned up to kiss Baltyr's cheek and rested his head back on his shoulder. He watched him closely, looking for any signs of disapproval or rejection. Redcrushing for him for some time now, Adonis grabbed at this opportunity even if it risked their camaraderie.

==>: PP: Realize something.
Those kids could be good for something after all. BALTYR: is it 0ver f0r sure?
Baltyr looked over to Adonis, his eyes lost in memory. His gaze was intense as he focused on one in particular, a circumstance that happened long ago. In Skaia, things happened for a reason. That was the law of Skaia itself- that all things were self-prophesied in a way. Whether it was the exiles with their own strange story or the kids, he had a feeling that their universe wasn't done yet. He let Adonis closer as they lay there, his gaze now on the ceiling. His cheek burned, warming him. He was still very much afraid of this meteor simply because of the clashing entities within. He had a grave feeling that at one point he might not have his friends around him anymore.
Or he would die and leave the people who cared about him behind.
His one wish was that the kids could find a way to save them. Answers.
BALTYR: i just d0nt want t0 give up yet

======>
Adonis looked back to Baltyr as he stared, blinking only once.
ADONIS: We're all that remain, and we were cheated out of our prize. ADONIS: There is no world for us to return to. ADONIS: It's been over for a long time, so we just have to figure out what to do next. ADONIS: While we don't have a real home to call our own, we're far from helpless. ADONIS: We're gods, we have technology, insane amounts of grist to do whatever we want with, I have the matriorb, and we're all still alive. ADONIS: After so long of thinking of how hopeless our situation is, I realize we actually have a pretty decent chance to survive if we play our cards right.
Adonis leaned up again to kiss Baltyr's neck, fueled by red feelings and taking the blue-blood's apparent indifference as permission. Around Baltyr, Adonis' thinkpan seemed to operate differently, things didn't seem so bleak, even if the Knight said he was always out of shits to give.

==>: PP: Explain Yourself.
Something you're really not good at doing. The blue-blood was never really good with relationships. It hurt just thinking that inevitably they would all die. It hurt more when he thought about the hemospectrum. It really changed who they were in a significant way- despite everybody's protests about how they don't believe in it he knew they were bullshitting him and themselves. None of them could get over it! Slaier bossing around everybody, Caegar threatening them- Even Mallic was hiding behind a fake fucking tag. Blue-blood my ass. Things needed to change. Maybe what Alex said was right... That their race needed to be exterminated.
But... Despite how disgusted he was in his own people there were a few he really cared about.
He was afraid to let people in because he was ashamed. There were so many stupid thoughts running through his mind that he didn't know what to do anymore. Specifically, he didn't know who he could trust. Who he could talk to.
BALTYR: i have never ßeen in this kind 0f a relati0nship BALTYR: and i d0nt kn0w h0w t0 resp0nd t0 it BALTYR: its like---> im just n0t g00d at sh0win em0ti0n BALTYR: just usin it as a weap0n, ya kn0w? BALTYR: uhm what i mean t0 say is i h0pe y0u d0nt hate me BALTYR: if im n0t g00d at sh0wing care

======> SA: Try to be understanding.
Adonis himself had never really experienced any of the quadrants, Sgrub happening before he bothered to think about them to begin with. All he knew was watching after the occasional grub. He and Anguis hit it off pretty quick as moirails, though it took a little bit to get used to her mannerisms and adjust to her speed at first.
Adonis himself understood the hemospectrum, and knew that it affected the relationships of the trolls even now. If not socially, then biologically. Back on Alternia, he would have never dared to be this casual or assertive with Baltyr. Being the last of their kind, however, Adonis decided that he'd rather survive and revive their species than die out adhering to the rules of a now dead civilization.
He had stopped as Baltyr spoke and listened again, Adonis now resting his chest against the side of the blueblood's. He was looking off to the side at the wall and their bed of loose paper, still apprehensive of rejection.
ADONIS: Neither have I. ADONIS: And it's okay, I guess. ADONIS: I-I'm kind of just ADONIS: wingin it i guess. ADONIS: I mean, you don't have to show it if you really do care. ADONIS: Right now, anyway. ADONIS: well... ADONIS: ... ADONIS: ... is it okay?

==>: PP: Be Conflicted.
Was Alex right? This new universe was the place they belonged yet it had not a single troll on it. What did that mean? The creation of a new universe was one adapted to fit their wants and needs, as he had thought earlier. He knew what that meant even if the others failed to. And he knew what he was going to do.
And... What Anguis had said- he finally understood it.
BALTYR: addy i d0nt kn0w h0w t0 ße a matesprit BALTYR: i finally get it---> BALTYR: im n0t the physical type in general BALTYR: i just BALTYR: am n0t flushed BALTYR: in a physical sense BALTYR: i feel flushed feelings 0f c0urse, what tr0ll d0esnt? ======> SA: Be confused.
uh.
what.
For a moment, Adonis just sort of looked at Baltyr dumbly, completely confused.
ADONIS: Uh... ADONIS: Oh...
A dinner and a movie? Who the fuck wants to have a dinner and a movie? Where would they have a dinner and a movie? On one of the towers overlooking the asteroid field with a ruined Skaia on the cosmic horizon? No, thank you mister. Adonis wasn't hungry, nor did he sure as hell didn't want to watch a fucking movie. He's already watched enough movies as it is.
Adonis' brows furrowed and his eyes gained a thousand-yard stare as he tried to process this and contain his frustration. He rested his head back on Baltyr's shoulder and clung tightly to him, closer than before. What Adonis wanted was something Anguis couldn't give him without vomiting all over the place like some oversized wriggler.
Adonis hated how cold it was on the meteor compared to his old desert home. He hated LOAAF, even if his volcano and hive came with him. He hated all the metal, he hated how their group couldn't trust each other despite everything they went though, but he mostly hated the highbloods for thinking they can hang onto long-dead customs.
After a long moment, Adonis let out a small, defeated sigh and slumped against Baltyr, closing his eyes.
ADONIS: I... ADONIS: I guess a dinner and a movie would be nice...
