You always knew you were different from them, even if your first solid memories only begin around age five. Even back in your early childhood you knew you were strange. However, unlike most kids who would get discouraged by this and do whatever they could to be normalized into society, you embraced your difference. You weren't going to change yourself to fit what people expected you to be, no. You knew you were destined for greatness. You would not die as just some face in the crowd. However, greatness does not come without it's struggles. You first grew up in a small apartment in southern Manchester, England with your guardian. Your guardian was never the most normal person themself, but you figured they bit you...or you fit them. Either way, you adored them with all your heart, and you still do. While they might not have been the most guiding in terms of manners or discipline, they were always there for you when you really needed them, and that's all you could ever ask for. You went to school in the city, surrounded with a large amount of other students. However, never once did you find someone you fit in with. People thought you were weird. They thought you were a bully. They thought you didn't belong. And, in all senses, they were right. You didn't belong, and you were a bully because of that. You always were a bit more...forward, for lack of a better word, but school mad you into the bully you still are today. You needed to know how to defend yourself, and put up walls to protect yourself from getting hurt...at least emotionally. They didn't stop you from getting into scuffles and coming home with split lips and bruised knuckles. Man, were you ever the scrapper though. You might not have been the strongest, but did you know how to move and where to hit! You remember this one time you took down two third graders when you were only in first grade. It was one of your proudest days...sadly. You came home with your head held high and your teeth bloody from the missing tooth. You weren't allowed back to that school after that. This repeated and repeated until you basically made it through every public school in Manchester. Everywhere you went, confrontation followed. While you like to blame it on the other kids for being "closed-minded assholes", at lot of the blame was on your too. You antagonized others. You mocked them and used your advanced knowledge to make them seem like fools. No one wants to be friends with someone who makes them feel stupid...and yet you couldn't stop. Even though you did try and some points, someone would say something that just brought the sarcasm and insults out again. No one would even play baseball with you anymore...that's when it hit you how far you've gone. You started getting distant from real life, and slowly began moving towards the virtual world for stimulation and friendship. You found it to be much more welcoming of your strangeness than the real world. You started skipping school, and going to hang out alone with your portable Wi-Fi on the Manchester Suspension Bridge. It was just a cool place to be. It was that decision that would be the turning point in your life, though. One day, when you were about 12, a few of the kids you bothered the most in elementary school stumbled upon you playing with your laptop on the bridge. Long story short; a fight was started that eventually to you and one of the boys flying over the edge of the bridge. You got away with minor scraps and bruises, but the other kid broke his leg. You pulled him out of the water and saved his life, but they tried to press charges anyways. After a short trial, you were let off on grounds of self defense. You moved out of the city the week after, leaving no trace of yourselves behind. You've been at the countryside cottage ever since. It's nice...but you know you're capable of so much more. You can't reach your full potential out here in solitude! Something's coming...you can feel it. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ After the big move, you and your guardian moved into a small, cottage like home in the middle of Suffolk, England. You're basically all by yourselves out there, which is exactly what your guardian was going for. The only humans you come into contact with around there is the wandering cross country hiker or family's who car broke down a mile down the road and they need to borrow a phone. Needless to say, you don't get the best service out here, but you've managed to buy enough routers and internet hookups to make a usually stable connection. It still cuts out sometimes though, especially at the worst of moments. The outside of the house is surrounded completely by rolling green pastures and a variety of ruined pillars left over from od buildings. You're surprised they don't bring more tourists, honestly. Probably because you're so far out there. The outside looks like a typical, old style cottage. There's a bunch of plants and shrubs around the outside, and a small creek runs along the back. It's cute; you like it...even if it does get boring sometimes. Once of the inside, it's even more cutesy than the outside. Cute ceiling molds, cute fireplace, cute big, puffy furniture...you get the picture. You like it though, it makes it feel homey. Besides all the cutesy stuff, the majority of the house is covered with your guardian's crazy decorations. You try to ignore them. However, there are two places in your house that are entirely yours. One is your room. The inside of your room is basically like a modern art museum and an insectarium combined. You keep your most precious specimens in your room with you, like your mantises, your tarantulas, and your centipedes. Sometimes your room can get a bit stinky because of them, so you keep a can of lavender Febreeze on your desk to combat the smell. Besides them, there's also your wide array of personal masterpieces pinned up along your walls. They're extremely colorful, and really brighten up the room. You're convinced they're going to make you millions one day. Your walls and floor are covered in paint from your artistic escapades too. Finally, the last place completely yours at your house is a small shed in the backyard. From the outside, it looks like a completely ordinary garden shed. However, once you enter the combination lock code to open the door and push your way in, you realize that you really can't judge a book by it's cover. You're first met by a small staircase that leads into a larger, underground chamber. This chamber is filled with a variety of aquariums and artifical lighting. These aquariums are filled with either a variety of herbs or insects, though here is mostly herbs. The herbs mask the smell of the insects and taints the air with a constant, minty smell. It's down here that your practice your tea and potion making. You've concocted quite a few brews, and you're hoping to release your own line of tea one day. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] ❧ KN: You type only in the way a girl of your high mental competency should -- correct grammar and syntax.~ KN: You just don't understand why people think it's "cool" to type like toddlers. KN: *SIGH* KN: It's also easy to tell when you're getting angry by how you type. KN: The sarcasm will be much less playful, and your language will get pretty fucking colorful.~ KN: You also tend to be rather long-winded, but don't think much about it. KN: If you're taking the time to type it, then it must be pretty damn important, and people should read it without complaint! [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]symbol[/style] ❧ the DARWIN FISH. It not only adorns the white tee she wears under her normal flannel top, it is also one of the charms on the bracelet she wears on her left wrist. Shout out to her main squeeze! [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]fetch modus[/style] ❧ CATCH IT! MODUS -- viridian sylladex card. All your captchalogued items and their corresponding cards are placed into a large jar. When you wants to retrieve an item, you must open the jar, which causes all the cards to fly out and fly around you. Using either your hands or a net, you must then catch the desired card, which can be quite the hassle, considering you has to first identity the card while it's in movement and then attempt to grab it in it's erratic flight pattern. Once a card it grabbed, the rest of the sylladex cards will retreat back into the jar. It's...kind of really fucking annoying, but it keeps you on your toes, and you've always strive to not be flat footed at any point in time. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] ❧ LEADERSHIP -- you'd make one hell of a leader! While you certainly wouldn't be the most well liked or appreciated leader thanks to your personality, you have all the abilities to make an extremely successful. You aren't afraid to do whatever it takes to forward your advances in your game, or make enemies. You aren't going to back down and let someone do something idiotic, nor are you going to look over important details. However, your only downfall might be your hastiness, and you might rush into a decision thinking it's right before learning a better way. ❧ ARTISTIC PROWESS -- you are quite the young Pollock, but while you usually make art by seemingly randomly tossing paint onto a canvas, that isn't the full extent of your artistic ability. You also have the ability to draw realism very well for your age, cross-hatching and all. You just find it boring most of the time. There's no originality in that! It's just doing what a photo can! You prefer to put your skills to more "creative" use. ❧ SHARP EYE -- you /never/ miss details. You'd make one hell of a forensic investigator someday if you could get your mind off bugs and biology long enough to consider a field other than biological science and entomology. Nonetheless, it's still really useful in everyday life. This also lets you pick up on changes in body posture and expression, making it extremely difficult for people to lie to you in person. You know enough about psychology to know what certain changes in hand positions and such mean. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ Welcome to the LAND OF LIFT AND PIGMENT. However, due to recent events brought about by your denizen, it is hardly colorful. Everything is in a constant state of "GREY", the only colors being very dull shades of their previous, vibrant luster. What makes it even worse is the vast amount of plant life in the land. It's like a sucker punch to the gut, to have all this potential for beauty only to have it stolen away. Despite the lack of color, the plants and flowers still seem to flourish though. The world mostly consists of flat grasslands, dotted with old, crumbling pillars that are home to a variety of climbing vines. There's also random puddles of color, like a rainbow puddle bubbling up from the core. It's pretty (or would be if there was color), but pretty mundane to be honest. That is...until you look up. It's then you notice the vast CITY IN THE CLOUDS. There's just these large chunks of earth with buildings constructed on top of them. You wonder how they're able to stay afloat, that is until you notices the huge propellers on the undersides of them. Those coupled with the constant breeze in the land allows them to stay suspended in the air. But...how the hell are you supposed to get up there?! That's when you notice the first and only mobile life form of the land, a stray GREY SALAMANDER. He was down harvesting food from the ground. Watching him, you finally take note of the large piles of earth dotting the grasslands. They are in fact holes in the ground through with intense burst of wind escape from the planet's surface. You can be lifted up by that gust to the floating city above. Once up there, you would see an abundance of your consorts, all peppy and optimistic despite the depressing state of their planet. Upon conversation with them, you will learn that the planet used to be abundant in color, until your denizen decided to be a dick and use a curse to suck it all away. God dammit, Typheus. Apparently he's been messing with the consistency of the winds too, and the consorts fear their city may fall. It's your job to kick that asshole into next week and bring color and stability back to the land. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]sidequest[/style] ❧ While in LOLAP, it if your job to learn how to "paint the wind". Remember though rainbow puddles? You can use your wind powers to pick up colors and slap them onto certain objects, bringing some color back into the land. You can also use it to liven up your own outfits a bit, not that you would. You're not a rainbow sort of person. Your consorts, on the other hand, would love it. They get a bit bored being gray all the time. Be careful though, Typheus is NOT going to be happy if he finds out what you're doing. | [atrb=width,150][atrb=valign,top][atrb=bgcolor,B9FC6F][atrb=style,color:252525; padding: 8px;][style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #252525;]positive[/style] ❧ optimistic ❧ persistent ❧ observant ❧ confident ❧ imaginative ❧ articulate ❧ convincing ❧ open-minded ❧ protective ❧ clever ❧ honest ❧ strong-willed [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #252525;]negative[/style] ❧ stubborn ❧ bossy ❧ impulsive ❧ boastful ❧ sarcastic ❧ overly independent ❧ physically weak ❧ suspicious ❧ emotionally guarded ❧ teasing ❧ idealistic ❧ superiority complex, very rarely seeing anyone on the same level as her.
