She's bold, aggressive, and knows no fear. Or rather, she knew no fear before Sgrub. She's had a few nasty reminders of her own mortality and it's somewhat rattled her previously unshakable confidence, but at outset? Meiran is a pretty angry chick who doesn't afraid of anything. Meiran is fairly typical for a seadweller. She's violent and prideful, with little regard for others. She can be a team player, it's just like pulling teeth to convince her to fall into line. She thinks she's inherently better than everyone else. Meiran grew up in a hive carved out against some half-submerged caverns on a rocky spit of land arching out into the Alternian sea. Her lusus, a large carnivorous lungbeast (whale) was honestly a pretty terrible mom and Meiran's social skills reflect this lack of attention. Her lusus demanded hunting assistance early on, and Meiran spent most of her time hunting fangfish (sharks) from the water around her hive to appease whalemom. The time that she didn't was reserved for collecting random sea junk and trying to convince her internet friends (who are totally not her friends, totally) to trade her cool inland junk for her cool sea junk. She also liked games, but was a poor strategist and mostly got by on raw determination and rage. Her favorite hobby has got to be the hunting, though. She loves the thrill of chasing down something and going in for the kill, especially if that something is plenty dangerous. ANCESTOR - Meiran's ancestor, the HUNTRESS, was essentially a bounty hunter for the empire and was quite good at her job. She'd be sent to track down and bring back dissenters, rebels, and other miscreants, preferably alive for torturing purposes. She had more fun when alive was optional, though. Much like her descendant, the Huntress was not actually sadistic. She just liked being in charge and the thrill of the chase. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ Meiran's hive was located in a half submerged system of caverns jutting out into shark-infested waters. She has no decorating skills whatsoever so the place is weirdly spartan for a seadweller's home. It's hard to miss the collection of shark teeth and jaw bones spilling everywhere, as well as a bunch of miscellaneous washed up trash that she decided she liked. Her room is always a mess. Always. Without fail. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] ❧ Purple text. Meiran's word choice and grammar are pretty standard. She replaces the letter "f" with "ph", and tends to EMPHASIZE certain words, especially when she's PISSED OFF! (Which is usually.) DP: Iph you type "um" one more PHUCKING time I am going to phly through this screen and RIP out your chitinous wind tube and SHOVE it up your SEED PHLAP! DP: SEE IPH I DON'T!!! Each item stored in the syllabus is assigned a random value. When Meiran tries to retrieve an object it presents her with an equation where she must solve for the value of the object. A correct answer frees the item. She's terrible at math, so this seldom ever goes well. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] ❧ Meiran's a seadweller and as such can breathe under water and swim well. She's a highblood, and as such is very difficult to manipulate with psychic abilities if you can manage it at all. She's a solid knife fighter and drives a hard bargain in any kind of exchange, plus she's a good tracker. If you ever need an improvised weapon, she also probably has your back. She's good at macguyvering crude but effective tools for dishing out mayhem and pain. She also has time powers, the extent of those is kinda plot dependent though? [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ The Land of Gears and Dungeons is a strange place, appearing like a walled medieval city built out of cogs and machinery. Beneath the city are many labyrinthine dungeons in which monsters and other unpleasantness hide. At the very bottom is the lair of Hephaestus, who has stolen the world's sun for a project. The LOGAD exists in a state of constant starlit twilight as a result, and the Consorts (purple toads that enjoy adventuring in the many dungeons) are not happy. If the trolls had Scratched their session, Meiran's world would've played a key part. However, they did not. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]sidequest[/style] ❧ Meiran has to do an extremely long, obnoxious fetch/trading quest through her Land in order to get the key to the Consorts' treasury back from some bandits. It's going to be much more annoying than it sounds.
