Her life basically amounts to reading books and tinkering with machines in her free time. While she likes and has a vast amount of knowledge on modern technology, Page’s real passion is steampunk and clockpunk style machinery, and her room is full of all kinds of clockwork automatons and steam powered thingamajigs. Her Guardian works at a scrapyard (specifically the one situated next to their house) where they hunt down parts to refurbish old cars. Seeing as both Page and her Guardian are super spiff mechanics, they will often times engage in friendly competition and race to see who can hunt down and install specific parts before the other can. When not engaged in school or her own endeavors Page would spend time scouring the scrapyard for parts, often coming home with cuts and bruises (one of the few times she wouldn’t immediately burst into tears from the pain) and covered in dirt, rust, and oil. Because of her weird hobbies, friends weren’t something Page ever had in abundance, though she did manage to make a few acquaintances with a few kids at school who were into automotive work like her. For the most part though her closest friends were all made online while playing online games, which she is known to dabble in from time to time. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]home[/style] ❧ Situated just outside the city of New Orleans in Louisiana, Page’s house is less a house, and more a giant automotive garage with living quarters tacked onto the side, surrounding by miles of scrapped cars and other assorted garbage. The garage is large, like, really, really large. You can fit about four cars in there and still have plenty of room, even with the giant industrial lifts used to raise cars so someone can work on the undercarriage. Tool boxes and other storage containers tend lay haphazardly around, while high powered socket wrenches and other expensive tools tend to hang from racks on the walls. A small office is located in one corner, though it is less an office and more of a small cubicle ripped from a corporate office and then filled with papers. A crappy old desktop sits off to the side on the only desk inside the office, and is usually left running all the time under the mound of paper and receipts. The actual “house” portion of her abode is relatively small in comparison. A door from the garage leads directly into the first floor of the house, which is really just one large living room set up with secondhand couches and chairs, a small table in the middle, and a large top of the line entertainment system that dominates one wall and looks completely out of place with the rest of the décor. A kitchenette is set into one corner with a low wall that also acts as a counter separating it from the rest of the living room. A trio of stools sits on one side, showing that the counter is often used in lieu of a proper dinner table. A narrow staircase leads to the second floor which is made up of three bedrooms and a single bathroom. Page’s room is situated right across from the bathroom, and is easily recognized by the sound of whirring clockwork and puffs of steam seeping from under the door. The inside of the room is an absolute mess, as it’s taken up by all kinds of half finished robots and odd looking steam powered contraptions. The walls, or what little of them you can see, are painted what used to be a bright pumpkin color, but have been reduced to a burnt orange through wear and tear. There is a distinct lack of a bed in the room, since Page accidentally set it on fire a while back and has been using the guest room down the hall to sleep in instead. Speaking of which, the guest room has basically become Page’s room, part two, as it is where she keeps all the many books she likes to read, along with her laptop so that they don’t get damaged by the smoke and steam from her other room. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]typing style[/style] PE: Starts all her sentences with capital letters, and ends with periods. Like a normal person. PE: Often abuses crying emoticons, such as QQ, ;A;, ;_;, T-T, and so on. PE: S-s-s-starts to s-s-stutter w-when nervous. PE: Will glueallherwordstogether into a jumbled mess when absolutely terrified. PE: Ellipses all over the place. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]symbol[/style] ❧ a pair of gears meshed together, colored a rusty bronze. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]fetch modus[/style] ❧ stopwatch modus: the stopwatch modus works by letting Page place an item in a card. Each card can be given a timestamp of her choosing, depending on how quickly she thinks she might need to retrieve it. in order to retrieve and item, she must activate the stopwatch on her modus, which will eject an item once it reaches a matching timestamp. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]powers & skills[/style] - Has a real head for anything mechanical, and can fix just about anything given enough time and the right tools. Hell, even the wrong tools. Years of watching MacGyver reruns do weird things to your brain. - Has a General Knowledge of Pretty Much Fucking Everything. She reads a lot, and is a trivia buff. If you have a question, she likely has an answer. Also, Jeopardy. So much Jeopardy. Jesus Jeopardy makes you smart. - Surprisingly tough despite her crybaby attitude. Years spent playing inside a scrapyard have given her a surprising amount of endurance. Her pain threshold is still really low, and even minor scratches tend to make her sniffle. The only time this doesn’t happen is when she’s focused entirely on a specific task and can’t remember to be hurt by her hurts. - Some sort of crazy time powers though she doesn’t have great control of them yet (get some timetables or something you dork). [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]medium[/style] ❧ the land of sentinels and steam (LOSAS) is a world entirely shrouded in steam and smoke. the surface is, for the most part, desolate, and completely devoid of any kind of life. giant factories dot the land, belching all kinds of bad things into the air. the real life is all below the surface of LOSAS, where a series of underground tunnels spans the entire planet. The tunnels are, in actuality, giant mines used to dig up plentiful veins of iron and other metals. The consorts of LOSAS are large albino rhinos who live in the tunnels where they are forced to mine for metal, guarded by large robotic sentinels made by her Denizen, Hephaestus. [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px white;]sidequest[/style] ❧ Page’s sidequest is to rally the consorts of her world, after she manages to get them all prescription glasses since they’re all horribly nearsighted, and lead them in a revolt against her denizen so they might leave the mines they’ve been trapped in, liberate the surface world, and begin trying to cultivate life anew on LOSAS. Oh, and she needs to maintain her team’s timeline, but that’s not as epic sounding (or scary). | [atrb=width,150][atrb=valign,top][atrb=bgcolor,B9FC6F][atrb=style,color:252525; padding: 8px;][style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #252525;]positive[/style] ❧ kind ❧ understanding ❧ intelligent ❧ imaginative ❧ inquisitive ❧ crafty [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #252525;]negative[/style] ❧ extremely shy ❧ super nervous ❧ a huge coward ❧ self-depreciative ❧ a total doormat ❧ a bit of a pessimist [style=font-size:14px; letter-spacing: 3px; border-bottom: dotted 1px #252525;]interests[/style] ❧ steampunk [/style]❧ clockpunk ❧ books. so many book. ❧ robots ❧ older model cars ❧ jeopardy ❧ macgyver ❧ random trivia ❧ the old spice guy (she wishes she was as charismatic and outgoing as he is) |
