==> VC: wake up
can.
fuck!ng.
do. Venn woke up in a bed, his eyes snapping open with the urgency wrought only by great excitement or terrible wrath. He hadn't yet decided which.
He was in a room, in a tall tower. It was mostly gold. He got off his bed and looked out a window. There were clouds in the sky overhead. If he looked at them he could almost see something up there.
He wasn't sure what.

You can do that. And there, waiting in another window sill, happened to be Alexander. He honestly found it rather humorous. They traded their normal clothes in for some really baggy golden pajamas. But he wouldn't really complain. Honestly, Prospit was bloody gorgeous. And thankfully, he was pretty glad that he had gotten Venn to wake up too.
At least he'd be able to see it now. Honestly, Alex searched all over the place, but he couldn't find many of the others here. They must have been on Derse. Which meant Page was a Derse dreamer. Honestly, he was rather hesitant to actually try to wake her up, simply because he wasn't sure how she would take to waking up on another planet. Not to mention another planet that wasn't Prospit. Maybe if he could find a way to Derse?
Anyway.
ALEX: Oh wow. ALEX: I honestly did not expect that to work. ALEX: Well, good morning either way. ALEX: Welcome to Prospit.

==> VC: answer fr!end
well of course you will answer your friend.
that is what good friends do. He turned to see someone approaching. It was his friend. He'd been kinda hoping it would be some sort of CRYPTIC DENIZEN, but his heart wasn't really in it. And he'd kinda suspected Alex might show up. It had, after all, been his comment that had alerted Venn to the entire situation here.
venn: hey there bud. venn: n!ce to see you. venn: prosp!t huh? venn: that's what th!s place !s called. venn: good to know. venn: so tell me. venn: drop a knowledge bomb on my doorstep. venn: where are our fr!ends.

==>; ZA: Explain the situation.
Alex's arrow can be rather boring. Something seemed... off with Venn. Really, he had been expecting a bombastic amount of enthusiasm. Rather, he was pretty subdued. The whole thing was something that Alex just plain was not expecting to see. So he just sort of stood there and blinked for a few seconds, wondering why Venn was just so different. Had he experienced such shock that it just sent him careening past excited and back into calm?
But he was eventually able to register the question. He looked away briefly. There were six people that he couldn't find. So they were probably on Derse. And really, he didn't know if anyone on their end was actually awake yet. Alex was pretty sure that he was the first Prospit dreamer to wake up. But he had no clue about the Dersers.
ALEX: They're safe. ALEX: They're asleep though. ALEX: At least they were the last time I checked. ALEX: Some others might have woken up by now.

==> VC: !n!t!ate speculat!on
you look out the window, to the golden planet below. You see a series of white-skinned lifeforms, with some sort of strange ... hard skin. Almost like an insect's exoskeleton. Or a carapace. Venn was intrigued. The little guys skittering around down there were interesting, and certainly of a SLIGHTLY CRYPTIC ORIGIN. But his heart wasn't in it. Actually his heart really didn't feel like it was in much of anything at the moment. He needed to know where his friends were. That they were safe.
venn: let's check on them. venn: to be sure. venn: not that ! doubt you. venn: but our fr!ends' safety !s !mportant. venn: bes!des. venn: we can talk as we walk. venn: you can expla!n more about th!s place as we go.

==>; ZA: Get ready to FLY.
Woah woah. First you should probably let Venn know about that. Well, Alex figured that that was the first thing Venn would do, examine the Prospitians. Really, when he thought about it, they kind of were aliens. He figured that Venn would absolutely love this place. Seeing as it confirmed other life, he might be all over this shit.
ALEX: Those are Prospitians. ALEX: They're really nice. ALEX: Behold, Venn. ALEX: Absolute proof of alien life.
But what caught him off guard is that Venn didn't seem to be all that into it. He thought the kid would go out the window immediately and do... something with one of the Prospitians. He knew that Venn would be accepted. The Prospitians adored the kids. Mainly because they were the players in this game, or something. But rather, he wanted to check on them again. Alex supposed they could do that.
Getting ready, Alex floated out the window.
ALEX: Alright. ALEX: We'll only find four others though. ALEX: The others are on Derse, I think. ALEX: Right. ALEX: Derse is the other planet. ALEX: Purple to our Gold. ALEX: Anyway, you can fly. ALEX: Go ahead, try out your metaphorical dreamwings.

==> VC: speculate further
You look down at one of the prospitians carefully. You can pick up on segments at the joints. Definitely a sort of carapace. That's the sort of USEFUL INFORMATION that only a KEEN CRYPTOZOOLOGIST would pick up on. venn: al!ens aren't really my f!eld. venn: although certa!n cryptozoolog!sts concern themselves w!th them. venn: ! do not. venn: !t always seemed obv!ous that somewhere !n the !nf!n!te cosmos there were al!en spec!es. venn: anyway. venn: what !s derse l!ke?
One he was done talking to Alex, he decided to try out this flying thing. He sort of lifted off from the ground and floated comfortably in the sky. Interesting. Useful, certainly. But there were more important tasks at hand.

==>; ZA: Be unnerved.
With the way Venn is right now? That should be no CHALLENGE at all. Urgh.
He never really thought he'd find himself saying this, but he missed the old Venn. The enthusiastic Venn. It hadn't even been five minutes, and Venn was already seriously unnerving him. It was creepy. It was really creepy as all hell. Venn wasn't enthusiastic at all. He didn't like it. He was wondering if there was something wrong with the guy. He contemplated asking him. Maybe Venn was mad at him or something? He didn't really know what to make of it. Maybe he would revert to his usual self as they checked up on their sleeping friends?
He looked down, noticing the Prospitians were starting to look right back up. That's right, another had awakened. This would no doubt be a rather big thing for Prospit.
ALEX: I can't tell you much. ALEX: I have no way to get there. ALEX: I really wish I did though. ALEX: It's what this place isn't. ALEX: That's about all I can really say.

==> VC: address ador!ng prosp!t!ans
no. Venn turned his gaze from the prospitians and focused on Alex. Their friends were sleeping. Vulnerable. And six of them were beyond their grasp. He didn't like this.
Not.
One.
Bit.
venn: what th!s place !sn't. venn: !s !t !nhab!ted as th!s place !s? venn: !f so, are the dwellers there l!ke these wh!te sk!nned ones? venn: or are there d!fferences? venn: are they perhaps best!al? venn: or a more s!m!lar class of l!feform? venn: or !s the planeto!d utterly devo!d of l!fe? venn: these th!ngs are !mportant, alex. venn: we have to ensure our fr!ends are not harmed. venn: you apprec!ate th!s not!on, of course.
He floated along, his gaze passing over the vast, golden buildings that made prospit look like a gigantic celestial pincushion. He wondered how many prospitians were in there. None of them were his friends, but there was no reason they couldn't be.
He'd just have to make sure his current friends were okay. He had to be sure.

==>; ZA: Reach a mental block.
Possible, things are getting much more COMPLICATED. Venn didn't care about the Prospitians at all. Nor was he comfortable with them sleeping, Alex could tell. Perhaps it was time to start waking them all up? No. No, he couldn't wake all of them up. He understood that they were vulnerable sleeping, but some of them were on Derse. There were some on Derse that he felt just couldn't really handle things going on there. He wanted to make sure that when he did, that they had someone there that they could talk to, to protect them. He talked shit a lot. He really gave them hell quite often. But they were still his friends, and he would do whatever it took to make sure that they were safe.
So when Venn continued to talk, Alex could only rub the bridge of his nose. He didn't like how things were going. Not one bit.
ALEX: The inhabitants are basically the Prospitians. ALEX: Just black. ALEX: That's about it. ALEX: And. ALEX: I... I know. ALEX: Goddammit I know. ALEX: Don't you think I've been trying? ALEX: Derse is meant to be Prospit's opposite, I think. ALEX: And some of our friends are the last people I'd want in that scenario. ALEX: I've been trying to find a way. ALEX: As far as I know, I was the first person to wake up. ALEX: Since then, I've been trying to secure everyone. ALEX: I figured once I'd done that, I could try waking them up. ALEX: Unfortunately, what with the trolls and all. ALEX: I've had to speed things along. ALEX: I'm sorry, but I hadn't planned on waking you up for a while. ALEX: Unfortunately, what with Caegar trying to assassinate you... ALEX: I didn't have much of a choice.

nah, you're not a psychopath or anything.
this is just serioustime. Venn floated over the buildings, his gaze passing over the odd prospitian dweller. They looked at him with something resembling childish excitement and awe. His hand itched for a scythe. He wondered if he could procure one on this moon. His eyes seldom turned skyward, to the clouds.
venn: ! am not !nsult!ng you. venn: ! am address!ng the most !mportant !ssue at hand. venn: !f our fr!ends on derse are !n any danger. venn: we need to address that problem. venn: we need to f!nd a way to get them to safety. venn: who !s !n charge of th!s place. venn: or are all the !nhab!tants s!mply w!de-eyed prosp!t!ans. venn: tell me everyth!ng you know.

==>; ZA: Explain what you know and lie through your teeth.
Well, maybe not everything. You suppose there are some things that Venn just simply should not know just yet. Of course, it wouldn't be lying. Just hiding some things. Yes, he was aware that Venn was not being insulting to him. Rather, he was just concerned, at least he liked to think Venn was. He really was not used to this side of Venn. It unnerved him and was just completely different. But he could at least answer his questions. At least the ones concerning Prospit. As for the trolls and what else was going on, that would probably be best kept secret at the moment. As the two floated along in the sky, Alex did the best he could to put his answers into words. Truth be told, he wasn't entirely sure how the other six on Derse were, but maybe if he could come up with something, Venn would relax just a little bit.
ALEX: Six are on Derse. ALEX: Likely alive. ALEX: I hope. ALEX: Your dreamself dying would be a pretty big thing. ALEX: I'd like to think we'd hear something if that happened. ALEX: As for anyone other than wide-eyed Prospitians. ALEX: There's the King and the Queen. ALEX: They can probably tell you more than I can. ALEX: Go visit them. ALEX: I'll take care of our friends. ALEX: I'll take care of everything.

==>; ZA: Wince.
Right, Venn is hitting you pretty hard. This is something you're not comfortable with. Alex winced at Venn's words. Truth be told, he found that one to be just a little insulting. Really, he wasn't crazy about the fact that Venn thought that he couldn't really handle this. He liked to disagree, he liked to think that he wouldn't have to involve the others in this mess and that he could just make sure no one had to go through any hell. If anyone had to go through some trouble to make sure everything on the dream worlds would be fine, well, it would be Alex. He was pretty sure he was the first one to wake up, he was the first one to roam Prospit, he was the one that had to make sure that everyone was safe.
He wanted everyone to have fun, not worry. He wanted the to sit back and enjoy the SBURB beta and have some friendly competition. Maybe even bond a little, he didn't want them all weighed down by something that could be considered metaphysical.
ALEX: ... I know. ALEX: I'm doing what I can. ALEX: This is my responsibility, Venn. ALEX: I was the first to wake up. ALEX: Because of that. ALEX: It's my responsibility to make sure you are all safe. ALEX: And I know. ALEX: I fail that everyday. ALEX: This is nothing new to me.
