==>; ZA: Consider.
You consider the option of letting Venn help. However, you quickly brush it aside. Alex looked back down at the Prospitians. Right, they were still here for him. Perhaps they were that subtle reassurance that those on Prospit were safe. However, Venn was suggesting to let him take over, to share the load. Alex wouldn't lie, he considered it. He really considered letting him in on the whole thing, whereas he would just maybe goof off here and there. But even if Venn pointed out that such short-sightedness was not unbecoming of Alex, which he still found to be rather insulting, he wouldn't let Venn ruin his good time, or especially his first time on Prospit, just worrying about those that were being kept safe, sleeping in the towers around the moon. That wasn't what Alex had had planned for him. Then again, he could say that he didn't plan for him to be awake this soon either. Caegar was making things difficult for him, he would give her that much.
ALEX: ... No. ALEX: That's not fair to you. ALEX: You shouldn't have to shoulder my job. ALEX: Simply because I am struggling with it. ALEX: You're supposed to have fun. ALEX: Enjoy yourself. ALEX: Meet old friends. ALEX: Make new ones. ALEX: You shouldn't have to do this.

==> VC: illuminate fallacies You are not terribly perturbed by Alex's reaction. You SORT OF EXPECTED IT. You have come to know your friends QUITE WELL, particularly Alex, who is one of an admittedly long list of BEST BUDS.
You continue to float along. You consider your options. venn: why on earth would be!ng respons!ble for our fr!ends be your sole respons!b!l!ty. venn: there's a hole !n your log!c so large ! could dr!ve th!s sp!ky planet through !t. venn: and bes!des. venn: ! do not much feel l!ke hav!ng fun. venn: for the moment, our fr!ends are !n danger. venn: and whether you w!sh to co-operate or not. venn: that means there !s work to be done. venn: by the both of us. venn: or do you th!nk no one but you !s capable of protect!ng our fr!ends? venn: that !s fool!shness. venn: you are smarter than that.

==>; ZA: Relent.
You really don't have much of a CHOICE at this point. Man, VENN sure is CREEPY right now. Alex sighed. He was starting to see that this was pretty much a losing battle at this point. It was a lost cause, no point in going on. So not only did Venn become super creepy, he had to keep his obscene amount of determination as well. Why was God out to cause him this kind of trouble? Well then again, he could probably agree and take care of it while Venn wasn't looking? No. Venn would probably follow him, or something. God, this was going to be a pain. Maybe Venn wouldn't get into trouble? Maybe at this point it was all he could hope for.
ALEX: You aren't going to stop until I say yes, are you?

==> VC: affirm suspicions
You continue to float along.
You seem to be getting through to your friend. Venn's gaze did not shift from the castle. His expression did not change. He had a mission, a single purpose. He would see it achieved to the best of his very considerable ability.

==>; ZA: Goddammit.
Goddammit. Goddammit. Alex sighed again. So he was correct in that Venn wasn't going to back down. Fine, whatever. He could always just take care of it when Venn wasn't looking. Or if he was, wake him up in the real world before going off to do whatever. Now he was curious, how did you go back to the real world other than naturally? Could you get knocked out and woken up? Honestly, he wasn't sure how it worked. He had a slight... difference that made it so he really couldn't find out that sort of thing.
He wondered if it was just him though.
ALEX: Goddammit. ALEX: Fine.

You are somewhat pleased. You would smile, but somehow your HEART JUST ISN'T IN IT. Your heart actually feels like it is somewhere else altogether. venn: good. venn: tentat!vely, ! w!ll suggest th!s plan of act!on venn: f!rst, you w!ll share absolutely everyth!ng you know about derse w!th me, unless you already have venn: then, ! w!ll speak w!th the leadersh!p of prosp!t. as a newly awakened dreamer, who the c!t!zens seem to adm!re, hopefully ! w!ll have some sway. venn: ! w!ll attempt to procure access to derse. venn: !n the meant!me you should cont!nue to mon!tor the dreamers here on prosp!t. venn: wh!le cont!nu!ng your earl!er endeavours. venn: no doubt you had some sort of plan you were engag!ng !n before my arr!val.

==>; ZA: Deny.
You really can't help him much more than this. It looked like that Venn would probably be going to talk to the royalty of Prospit fairly soon then. Despite his request, Alex didn't really have all that much on Derse. A few scraps of knowledge here and there, but that was about it. He didn't have the place mapped out like he did with Prospit. He really needed to remedy that. But for now, all he could really do is just be honest with Venn, and that was that he really didn't have much that he could tell him, if anything at all.
ALEX: Sorry. ALEX: The fact I haven't been able to get to Derse. ALEX: It's left me in the dark about several things. ALEX: The Queen might be able to tell you more.

You are not terribly disappointed by Alex's lack of information. You expected it. venn: !t !s qu!te all r!ght. venn: presumably, the queen w!ll have answers. venn: otherw!se, we w!ll need to create answers of our own.

==>; ZA: Pray the Queen has answers.
Because really, this is sort of her job. She really should have answers about Derse. Plus if she doesn't have answers, then shit. Venn will probably do things himself. ALEX: She should. ALEX: She's fairly nice too, from what I've heard.

==> VC: depart
You begin to float away from your friend. You think it might be best if only one of you went to see the Queen at a time. Wouldn't want to overwhelm her, or worse, present conflicting ideas. venn: her n!ceness !s !rrelevant. venn: though !t may hopefully smooth the process of conv!nc!ng her to take act!on. venn: and who knows. venn: maybe we w!ll become fr!ends.

You float away as well, leaving Venn to do his thing with the Queen. You need to find a way to fix this fast. ALEX: Yeah. ALEX: Do what you can. ALEX: I guess.
