Chaos was the word that could be used to describe what was going on, even if it was a gross understatement. There was a meteor headed in Alex's direction, after putting up that last bit on the memo and contacting Lela, he put his phone into his pocket and stared at the crown in his hand. The large fireball was going to kill him, he knew that much. This was a disaster. He figured if he died here, he could still use his dream self. But the idea of dying at all was something that he wasn't quite comfortable with. But still, it seemed unavoidable.
Alex again looked at the crown. Taking all of one's burdens upon themselves. That was what it meant. He considered placing the thing on his head. If nothing else, he could at least die looking like a king. Honestly, Caegar was probably finding this utterly hysterical. He expected her to chime in any second now, laughing at him about how he was going to die. There was no way that she wouldn't pester him just to make fun of him. His mind went through their conversations. He was sure he could at least come with a witty comeback when she did. Though one bit stood out in particular. One bit that might change the whole thing.
WI: v You look down on your fellow players. v WI: v They are beneath you. v WI: v In this we are motherfucking alike, you and I.
The hell they were alike.
He might have been doomed at that point, but there was no way that made them alike. He may have tried to control everything, sure. He might look down on a lot of them, sure. And really, thinking about it, taking the crown would be proving her right. That he alone had the right to rule the others, and command them like they were subjects. Not that it mattered now, as he was pretty much boned, but still. If nothing else, he could have one last bit of defiance, one last bit of rebellion. So that if nothing else, he could just spite her.
Taking the crown into his hand, he looked at it one last time. Both hands gripped the crown, and without much effort, he snapped the thing in two, letting it fall to the ground, clattering uselessly.
That was apparently what needed to happen. As he awaited the meteor to strike him, a flash of light enveloped him and his house. He closed his eyes to keep from blinding himself. The island he lived on would be destroyed by the meteor, all sorts of cryptic life being re-extinctified, leaving a large crater in its wake. But Alex, and his house, they would both be gone. And it wouldn't be stupid to assume he had been killed. But that wasn't the case.
When he opened his eyes, he would see what had happened. He had been moved, to a completely new land. His house now was alone, standing on an outcrop that monitored the rest of the land.
A wasteland, with blades scattered about. He was sure there was life here, but his current view left it barren. He looked in the sky, massive gears unmoving, frozen in time, watched by an eternal sunset. However, the big draw was that in the middle of the expanse, was a large hill, practically a mountain with a sharp cut off at the top. Untouched by a single blade, unlike the rest of what he could see.
Alex had entered, and this was his medium.
LAND OF FORGES AND FROGS
Alex pulled out his phone, and left a brief message for Lela.
Placing it back in his pocket, he began to wander around. He wondered if anyone would bother him.

A subconscious voice entered his mind once again. But he brushed it aside, he had more important things to do right now. Things that could potentially alter his fate here. First of all, he had to figure out where he even was, or what he was even going to do. He figured he had entered the game, he was sure of that. But the rest of it was a bit of a mystery to him. The battle was raging on the Battlefield, and he himself was on Prospit, though that would quickly change. He had every intention of getting to Derse, and truth be told, would be there fairly soon.
Rather, instead he wandered around his house. He noticed however, that there was a bunch of black stains and markings all over the house. He wasn't sure what was going on, though this was definitely different. He had only been still for a couple minutes. What had changed with his house? His hairs on his neck stood on edge a little as he scanned the environment. Would he have to strife soon? If such was the case, he was sure he could handle whatever was thrown at him. That any enemy he fought in this land wouldn't be a match for him, his skills, or his gadgets that he would come out on top.
He hoped, anyway.

Oh, someone was pestering him? Alex took a quick look at his phone, noticing the familiar green text and the unusual quirk. Well, it was good to know that someone was at least keeping tabs on him. Maybe. It was kind of creepy when he thought about it. Really, having someone watch you, at all times. God, did they watch you while you slept or something? This might have been a subject he really didn't want to think about. But, he supposed he should get back to her, wondering what she wanted. Wait, she was bugging him to do something? Really? Come on, he had just gotten into the game
ZA: Well. ZA: Excuuuuuuuuuse. ZA: Me. ZA: Princess. ZA: But I really have no clue where the imps are. ZA: Or where my forge is. ZA: Why my bed is important. ZA: Or well, Slaier is bringing up the gates at this moment actually. ZA: He says to go into the top one, but whatever.

Alex rolled his eyes as he scrolled over her pestering. Honestly, he wondered if she'd even see the eyerolling. Probably not, or maybe she would. Whatever. Here she was giving him all these commands.
ZA: How would I be dead. ZA: Anyway. ZA: If I have to do something. ZA: The swords outside. ZA: I can use those, right? ZA: Because I do have an idea.

Right, she could see him, he really should have figured that she would probably pick up on that. Though he did smirk a little. Nah, he wouldn't tell her just yet. Maybe wait until one of the supposed boss fights to show it off, but not really just tell her.
With that, he ran out of the house, blindly. Rushing from sword to sword, he started captchalogging as many as he could find, until his inventory started to fill up. He needed them to all be in their separate slots, or else they'd come out as one giant pile. He couldn't have that. The idea of using them with his Jokerkind came up, but he dismissed it, it wouldn't work for this.

Inventory full. Check. Now he supposed he should get back to his house and start messing up some Metal Gears. He quickly trekked back inside, he figured that he should probably clean up his house before he started venturing too far out anyway.
ZA: Oh no. ZA: Trust me. ZA: You'll love this.
One by one, he started to notice them. Little black creatures with frog heads, railguns, and... licorice armor? What the fuck? Who prototyped a stick of licorice? Ugh, some people. He accessed his Jokerkind, pulling out a rather simple blade. It was funny, most people with a bladekind favored the katana. He preferred the more European style.
ZA: Ok, so we have Metal Gear Imps around here. ZA: Any bosses I should be aware of?

He rolled his eyes again. Yes, he was a scrub for playing this game for the first time ever, without even a manual to help him out. But she seemed to get the wrong idea. He meant bosses that were at his house. He figured there were super bosses somewhere in his world, but that would take some time to get to.
ZA: Bosses at my house. ZA: Oh well, this will only take a second.
It took only a second. A few blurs here and there, and within a second or took, the imps exploded into small bits and pieces of grist. There wasn't even a speck of blood on his blade. He glanced at the grist again. A few more blurs and he was back in place not even a second later, now with some grist ready to be used for whatever.

Ogres. Well, that painted an easy enough picture. Giants. Giants that likely hit really really hard and soaked up a lot of damage. Ah well, he figured if they bled enough then they would go down. He really just had to keep himself from getting hit. Now to get back to cleaning his house. By God, there really were a lot of them. He wondered how everyone was doing off in Dreamland.
ZA: That's what I collected the swords for. ZA: I told you that this wouldn't be a problem for me. ZA: It's the others I'm worried about. ZA: A few minutes? ZA: Well I suppose that gives me some time to get some experience.
More imps exploded and more grist was collected. It was almost like he wasn't even moving and they were just being magically drawn to him.
ZA: Killing imps. ZA: You know, like you told me to.
